Board of Directors

RCCSC is a non-profit, charitable organization that is governed by a seven-person voluntary Board of Directors. Our by-laws specify that the members of the board must include:

· 2 clients who are tenants of Richview Residence and use    supportive housing service
· 1 member of the Richview Baptist Foundation
· 3 members of the Richview Baptist Church
· 1 member from the community at large

Persons who sit on the board are nominated each year at our Annual General Meeting and voted into the position by the corporation’s membership.

Governance

The Board of Directors is a policy board responsible for the overall management of the affairs of the corporation. The Board meets regularly to:

· ensure the vision, mission and values of the organization are   being incorporated into the day-to-day operations;
· set and review policies related to what the agency does and   how services are delivered;
· ensure the corporation is fiscally healthy and operating a   balanced budget;
· review and sign documents required for the corporation’s   operation;
· review any incident reports and follow-up actions taken;
· develop annual service plans and budgets for the Central West LHIN
· establish a strategic plan for future directions;
· report on the affairs and financial position of the corporation   at an Annual General Meeting
